Italy Wins First Major Title in 15 Years

In a thrilling match that went to extra time and penalties, Italy defeated England on Sunday to win the UEFA EURO 2020 championship. The match was played in front of a sold-out crowd at Wembley Stadium in London, England, and was the culmination of a month-long tournament that featured 24 teams from across Europe.

Italy took the lead in the second half when Federico Chiesa scored a stunning goal. England equalized in the 67th minute through a Luke Shaw strike, but neither team could find a winning goal in regulation or extra time.
